This annual event is a favourite. People travel from all over Dominica, the Caribbean, and even the world to arrive in Soufriere for the final Saturday celebrations of Dive Fest.

Participation in 2004 was tremendous, with 19 Corporate Teams and 5 Private Teams entering the races.

The crowd was huge and well-behaved. With DJ music and plenty of fish & chicken on hand, everyone enjoyed their "Day at the Races."

The Dominica Watersports Association (DWA) once again put on an event that was a crowd-pleaser, while at the same time helping to raise funds for the promotion of Dominica as a Dive Destination.

For those not familiar with the Rules & Regulations of the Carib Canoe Race, the format of the race is explained here.

The event was based from Nature Island Dive. The music and vendors were organised by the Soufriere-Scotts Head Villlage Council.

Dominica Brewery & Beverages Ltd. was the primary sponsor of this event, donating cases of Kubuli and Guinness for prizes. In each category, prizes were awarded to the top three teams:

1st Place: 4 Cases
2nd Place: 2 Cases
3rd Place: 1 Case

For the second year running, Dominica Brewery & Beverages Ltd wins the Kubuli Carib Canoe Race! This year they are victorious aboard the Kubuli Boat!
