Our Mission: empowering Dominican youth in realizing their entrepreneurial potential.

The DYBT Project is adapted from the Commonwealth Youth Credit Initiative (CYCI) model of the Commonwealth Youth Programme. The CYCI assists national governments in providing young women and men with an integrated package of low-cost easily accessible credit, enterprise and personal development training order to establish sustainable businesses.

Under this Project young persons in Dominica will be provided with the wherewithal to establish sustainable businesses. It combines attributes of several past initiatives and involves inputs from several institutions and donors into a coordinated project that delivers an efficient package of services to young entrepreneurs. The first consultation with stakeholders of the project was held in August 2003. The Trust was officially launched in May 2004.
